So, as a follow-up on this, I did an analysis, and it has had a majorly NEGATIVE effect on my sales. Prior to them putting in this "Easy Pricing" thing, I was selling about $500 a month in items, with a couple of months pushing $700. Since then, despite me having just as many items up (and of similar price and quality), my sales have dropped by almost 2/3. Over the past 60 days, my sales are at $333.94.
My guess is that people I'm in competition with have gone ahead and agreed to use the "Easy Pricing" function, and end up selling the items at very low prices (much below even bullion value in some cases)... leaving me out in the cold. As I've mentioned to others, things such as the
Coin World Market (
https://www.coinworld.market) are becoming much more attractive options to us long-time eBayers.
First of next month (once baseball's regular season is over) I'll have more time to explore other selling option.
