been browsing around has anyone seen tim rathjen's machine?

i guess it would mean the end of CRH. however from the videos
it just feel so fake. I mean yes probably possible but you
would have to have a huge database with super fast computer
power.

like just to take a picture of a coin and rotate 360 degrees
till you find a match. his machine maybe impractical. still
i believe it possible.

what do others think of this?

I have no doubt that it works, but I don't think it's possible for it to not make mistakes.

I don't think it will be the end of CRH. The cost and more so the bulkiness of this machine right now makes it hard to imagine there being many of these machines around.

Also, there are many different things to CRH for. Yeah, this may make silver and key date hunting more difficult as it could take some out of circulation but it won't be that much and I'm pretty sure most rare coins in circulation now are dumped in recently (someone's coin collection spent on accident, etc,) and will continue to be dumped in. Errors & Variety CRH will be untouched by this, I doubt anyone will take the time to make a machine that can accurately recognize the thousands of types of DDOs, RPMs, and all th other types of errors and varieties people may collect.

I'm not an error buff, only a stacker, so it wouldn't affect me.
