This 2002 has a die clash under the ear and an extra beard in the middle of the beard like the 2000.

Hi, a possible DDO nice coin indeed very similar to 2000 doubled die. Will wait for the others to make their comment.

Thanks,

They are both result of die clashes. The beard one looked interesting till you consider the overlay of the statue that clashes with the beard. It was a subject covered on coppercoins.com/ if your interested?

Coop is right. The folks who initially believe these to be doubled dies jumped the gun in calling them so. They are actually just the result of a die clash, which is rather common.

They are both die clashes, but like the 2000-p its from a misaligned clash. Bob from this site saw the pics on a different site and said this type of clash is only known on 3 dates, the 1993-P, 2000-P and this one. This type of clash does not appear to be that common.
