Eddie you do have a mind blowing collection of these Belas which seem to have an infinite number of Siglas. Are these control marks?

That is what I am thinking. I haven't found a concrete explanation as to what they are. Some of the types of coins in the 1100's have over 400 sigla.

I am looking for confirmation of the date range on this one.

First, though I normally only collect Poland (or saints) from this part of the world, there were several reigns in the 14th- 15th century when the same sovereign ruled as king of both Hungary and Poland. While I try to some extent to exercise discipline with my Polish OFEY, there are very few Polish coins before 1506 that can be attributed to single years, but there are Hungarian coins from these joint reigns ... so I've decided to allow a bit of scope creep, and pick up a few Hungarian denars from the reign of Wladislaus I, who was also King of Poland, but minted very few Polish types.
So, this recent pickup (Huszar 598, W-X as best I can tell) was advertised by the seller as 1440, but I see Numista has it as 1440-1441. I also saw a Huszar 598 I-h dated to 1441 on another thred. So what is the correct date for mine?

Thanks very much for the quick response! I know it is a bit like splitting hairs (1440? 1441? 1440-41?).
If anything else comes up, you can just update here.

@tdziemia. Huszar is the only catalogue that has it as 1440. The rest have it as 1440/41. I have one with a G-B mint mark and have it as 1440/41. Normally if the majority of the catalogues have it as a single year I will use a majority wins judgement but in this case it is one vs. the rest.
