Hi! guys,
I need some help to figure out whats wrong with it. It weight 2.8grs. I'd figured it might be damaged, but have no idea what caused it. Someone tried to sand it down? If it true then how come the edge had the same thickness with a normal one. The one on the left in the picture of the rim was in question. Thanks everyone!

Yes I thought of it too. But, it just dont look like it to me. Acid will kind of melts it down and you wont have that clear profile of the coin.

I don't know, but the striations on both sides show something. It may have been highlighted by acid, though.

A caustic environment or acid is what made the striations so prominent , afterwards, the coin saw circulation to give the higher details a smoother look which enhances the overall contrast of the design. This contrast is the "details" you see

Vietguy: Take another look at the edge side-by-side.. I see your coin as slightly thinner than the control.. Make an assumption yours was slightly under weight but still within tolerence to begin with and it isn't that much of a stretch to seeing another 20 - 25 hundredths of a gram loss due to other factors.. Or an out-and-out under weight planchet right off the bat..

Thank you very much every one for all the info. I was just curious what might have caused it to be like that. Another lesson learned :-).
