So it's a Doubled Die Reverse Coppergold? That's not part of its normal design?

If it's not, like I said I will throw all my doubles dies back into circulation. I'm done trying to figure out how that is not a doubled die. And if you don't think so I think you might do the same. Lol. Or zoom in and look harder. Give me a picture of a 1999 P with this lol and show me where that thing poking out is on the design. Don't worry I'll wait.
Killians don't get rid of that!! Send it to John and I'll pay for it if I have to. Just so we can prove these guys

Someone do explain to me how the design could stop two thirds of the way down, then start showing and stop showing again. I realize my name is not coop and I know nothing. But do explain how this could happen. Does anyone besides me and John see this? Am I losing my mind?! Am I blind?

I was just wondering Coopergold. I didn't want or need a very crazy comment. I'm just trying to learn. Also, I'm not saying that it ISN'T a Doubled Die. I never said that.

We all see the "bar" on column if that is what it is. Slight chance is is from die polishing. John1

Killians, it wasn't your fault. I'm sorry that you feel this way. I had a bad personal issue going on, and I'm very sorry for that.

Thanks EaV. I am just gonna put it up as a keeper cause to me it's in great shape for me. I'll just wait and see if anybody else is gonna chime in with good news about it.

Keep in mind the clashes we see on the upper part of the bays. A polishing would remove that part of the false column. Also the bar Hubbing affects the center of the design only usually on this type of doubling.

I do see Full Steps on it as well. It's in great shape and the steps are complete.

Coppergold: In your first photo the blue arrow is pointing to a part of the column that is common to all the columns. Compare it to the column to the left of it. What the white fingers are pointing to is part of the design. Look at column eight to compare. Quote: Someone do explain to me how the design could stop two thirds of the way down, Die wear or erased through abrasion. I grabbed a random LMC to double check and this same element on my cent only has the upper 1/4 showing.

Hey Coop, I didn't know about that at all. Thank you very much for sharing! So, the Columns actually get thinner from the die polishings? That's very interesting.
