A Surprising Lucky Penny Roll - Coin Community Forum

Paul Bulgerin Pillar of the Community United States 3098 Posts	Posted 07/24/2018 2:25 pm I won an auction on ebay last week for a roll of BU Wheat Cents. The seller had them listed as "A Mixed Lot of 50". I got them for only $5.50 plus $2.49 shipping, which I thought was a real nice price for a roll of BU Wheaties. I was expecting to receive coins from the mid-1950s. Much to my surprise, and delight, when I received the roll I found that it contained 49 full red Choice BU and better 1948-S Lincolns, along with a lone circulated 1948-D. I checked ebay and found a roll of BU 1948-S cents that sold yesterday for $98! Needless to say, I am happy with my surprise purchase.
