Checks Or Warrants, What Is The Correct Term ?

The person being paid then had to present them at the proper office to collect the actual payment. Some of the signatures are historically important for Wisconsin. Like bills of exchange, these can be discounted or traded, though these don't seem to be have been. No 2 is a receipt. Report this Post to the Staff

The amount has been left blank at the top. The rev. stamp covers the year of the date so it was written below the stamp leaving the partially printed date unfilled (186_). The bottom line is a receipt for the unspecified amount mentioned on the front. I bought these about 12 years ago for $55 and then rediscovered them while looking for something else.
