This looks like a triple punched S mint mark. All opinions would be helpful

The area on the MM your arrow is pointing to is a damage. coin took a hit and the metal got displaced.

AND...in addition to a contact hit on the lower tail, there is evidence of easterly MD.

Looks like the mint mark took a hit, causing the metal to get pushed over and flattened.

If it were a RPM, the area that is flat, would be raised. Looks like MD damaged that area flattening that area.
