Looks like a very small Plating Bubble (AKA Gas Bubble). http://www.error-ref.com/gas-bubbles/

Great idea Spence. I love having methods of actually testing things.

Not being practiced in microsurgery, my efforts so far have resulted in two flattened ends of a toothpick without an obvious observable effect on the tumor. It might be that I didn't hit the right spot yet, but the patient isn't dead yet.
