I found this in pocket change. Wondering if you think its a legitimate error coin.
Rest in Peace

Yep, a curved clip of less than 5%, will get about $4 on a rainy day...

A curved clip is from the center of the stock plate:

Whereas a straight clip is the edge cut out:

Very nice find and congratulations! That's one heck of a score in pocket change ($$cha ching$$)! It's a legitimate error coin. It's worth maybe 6 or 7 dollars, on a lucky day on ebay.

Thanks for the replies. I'm surprised it was out in circulation so many years.

You're very welcome and no problem! Great find for sure! You should definitely put it in a 2x2 coin flip, and make sure to label the error on it!

The year on the coin doesn't necessarily represent the amount of years or time in circulation. It could've sat untouched in a collection for decades then let loose. More than once. Thanks, Doug.
