Nice coin, Dorado!
It's widely accepted that the lighthouse on the left-hand side of Britannia on British bronze coins from 1860 to 1894 and on the penny from 1937 to 1970 is the Eddystone Lighthouse at Plymouth. This famous lighthouse celebrated its centenary in 1859 and therefore would have been in the news at the time the bronze coinage was being designed. The lighthouse, which stood on a rock off-shore, was replaced by a more modern structure in 1877; the original building, now named Smeaton's Tower after its architect, was dismantled and re-erected on Plymouth Hoe.

This is a scan of an old slide I took from a ferry about 20 years ago!
