I have a few examples of an unusuyal type of coin to modern eyes that was more common in the 15th to 17th centuries: a coin with a depiction of the patron saint of a place, holding a model of the city of which they are the patron/protector, or the church that holds their remains. In some cases the modern photo of the places can look a bit different given the long elapsed time in which remodeling, destruction from wars, etc. may have occurred.
