I received mine in the mail yesterday and I'm very happy with it!

Now I have two of the proof $1 silver coins though... debating what to do with the single. Probably not worth trying to sell on ebay so unless I find someone who'd appreciate it as a gift, I'll likely just keep it. My collection is like a roach motel... they check in but they don't check out. Actually "Hotel California" is a little more glamorous of a simile; I'll go with that one.

edit: typo

I have not bought any of the American Legion commemorative coins. After buying the entire Apollo 11 commemorative set, proof and uncirculated five dollar gold, one dollar silver and fifty cent clad, as well as the five ounce silver and silver dollar with reverse proof half dollar (Kennedy) set, my pocketbook was sufficiently drained on Commemorative coins for 2019.

This is very true!

Understandable. I probably would have stopped after Apollo too, had not the design for American Legion been so appealing to me.

True. This is the first time I have bought something from both offerings.

There are almost no auctions for graded American Legion Coins on ebay. Only high buy it now.

All kinds of auctions for the Apollo Coins.

Same thing happened last year. Lots of auctions for the Breast Cancer but very few for the WW1.

Not sure why.

The American Legion 100th Anniversary 2019 Silver Dollar and American Veterans Medal Set is nearly sold out. Sales data released today indicate 9,665 sold of the 10,000 product limit.

The Mint's webpage doesn't even show this set as limited yet, but it could easily go to unavailable at any time with only 335 sets to be sold to reach the product limt

It's a good set. Not surprised. I forget...is the medal unique to the set?

The medal set is now labeled as "currently unavailable." Coin News reported that it was also unavailable on Friday, although commenters mentioned it was back online that evening.

I broke down and purchased the set this morning (before it became unavailable again) based on photos and comments I've seen in this thread and elsewhere. I already purchased the uncirculated dollar by itself, so this marks the first time I've ever purchased two coins from the same commemorative program. However, the limited mintage, design of the medal, and overall appearance of the set sold me on it. Now begins the wait.

Last week I spent money on a graded PCGS MS70 gold coin. Lots of money for me, but happy that I could buy it cheap compared to the ebay prices. Would love to have the coin-medal set too but need to wait, because I also ordered the Canadian Pride of Two Nations set.
