Found this 1944 Lincoln wheat while coin roll hunting. The picture doesn't do it justice. It still has more of the red toning vs a brown tone but is very dull. Any ideas on what would have done this?

Looks like a harsh acid cleaning + a polishing cloth a while ago.
Rest in Peace

Can't tell much of anything from these pics - surely this is not the color you describe!

You are right about the pictures. I couldn't get my camera to capture how it actually is. It has the red color but just a dull finish.

Have you tried a magnet on it? Weight? 2.7 Grams would be a great number for this coin.

The weight on this coin is 3.0. Coop what is the significance of the weight 2.7?

Looks like it has been harshly cleaned in the past, because of being dull.
