I suspect the Canada Post strike in November and early December delayed many gifts heading to, and from, the Great White North...

I received my package from Santa today! I couldn't wait, so here goes: A great lineup of US silver to start things off: Including a proof Roosie! Two excellent additions to my World coins: 1965 and 1970 commemorative Soviet rubles. The one on the left commemorates the 20th anniversary of victory over the Third Reich (Fascist Germany). The one on the right commemorates the centennial of Lenin's birth. This doubles my Soviet Russia collection. This one is the kicker for me. It is obviously a token/medal issued for the centennial ANA convention in Chicago, but for the life of me, I can't find another online. The signature on the obverse(?) seems to be that of the Dutch Mint Master ("'s Rijks Muntmeester") at the time , although I can't find that person's name nor can I read the signature. I don't know what the drawn bow represents. The reverse has a really cool dot matrix style of portrait made of hundreds, if not thousands, of tiny raised dots that give the face a different look depending on how you hold it. It has "In den echten bant" to the left, which translates to "In real life," not in Dutch, apparently, but Danish or Swedish and I don't know what that refers to, specifically. I did find the reverse design on another token with a different obverse, but still of "'s Rijks Munt", the former name of the Royal Dutch Mint. I could very well be following the wrong trail, but I do like a mystery! Thank you very much Santa!

Glad you received them right in time for the holidays! I tried googling the token too before sending it to you to know what I'm sending, but couldn't find anything about it. Have fun researching it, and happy holidays!

That titanium coin is pretty sweet! I can well imagine what a nice shade of blue it is. What an enigma that ANA token is. lol You got me curious now as well. haha Not sure how it all ties in.
