I'll try for $3000. However, I really want to guess $7443 (in real Price is Right style).

I thought I detected a certain amount of T.P.I.R. strategery in the works!

Oh boy this looks impossible so I will go with $4242. No rhyme or reason for guessing this number...lol.

Yes, we still count 2.3 though the exchange rate has fallen slightly (was 2.31 last time I checked).

Quote: $24,783 (57,000 zl) I have every reason to suspect it's not an honest guess. I declare this round invalid. Contest suspended until further notice.

I declare this round invalid. Contest suspended until further notice. Can you define what is an honest guess? - How can you tell the truth if you don't have a clue what the answer is? I was probably going to just slap on a random guess of about $5,756.89! and does it matter if everyone is far wrong? Can it not be determined who is closest and who should, therefore, go through? I don't get it!

Do you believe in 1:25,000 chance occuring right now? Guessing the right $$ AND the correct zls multiplies this by at least two, making it 1:50,000. No response to my PM regarding the issue. The 'guess' was made not just like that but after 'preparations'. This is not evidence, but these facts exist and point in a certain direction.
How could it happen: Now when I checked, even if I did delete all links to the auctions, it would not, as I thought, prevent from fraud. This is why: The links went straight to archives. And if you copied one of the links before I removed it, entered that site and searched for a coin, it would show you ONLY ENDED AUCTIONS. That I was unaware of until yesterday - I thought that the search engine was separate, and therefore, showed current auctions. Also, performing a not too overcomplicated search on Google, shows the coin right in the first place. Probably because of the fact that only one was sold recently and the auction site wasn't deleted yet (as they usually are).
The contest is now closed. The winner of the clasification before the playoffs can be considered the overall winner.

Quote: does it matter if everyone is far wrong I don't know. In a contest without prizes, and without any relation to the US market, I thought it didn't. Looks like I was wrong.

I'm really disappointed that the contest ended this way. I was really having fun with this. I hope you would consider doing another of these in the future. Thanks for the fun you provided. BTW, this coin was "too" hard LOL

Quote: I hope you would consider doing another of these in the future. The only way I can think of now is: - posting a link to a current auction (best if 7 or 10 day one), - ending every round one/two DAYS BEFORE the end of the auction. This way one could prevent any fraud, unless the participant has the technology required to travel in time.. forwards and backwards that is.
