There is a small Cud on the dentils over the E in UNITED. The rest is too blurry to see. Very unusual final bid. The second place bidder is probably ticked. They weren't much better than the ones in the auction. If it is an 1888/7 then the seller did okay and the buyer will do okay as this coin grades VF-30 or so. Report this Post to the Staff

I always thought a overdate such as this would be visible to the naked eye. I wouldn't give more than a buck or two for that coin if it were offered to me for sale.
