Not to say a 1997 Denver mint can't have a doubled die obverse , ear or otherwise , but there are none listed.
Your coin looks to have taken a hit on the ear and is a normal ear .

There is no DDO-001 for the 1997-D cent. The doubled ear is only on the Philadelphia minted 1997 cent (no mintmark).

Your coin looks like it has a contact mark (damage) on the ear.

Compare the the overall size and shape of the ear on this coin to another 1997. You should see the size and shape of the ear on each coin will be the same
