Hello, I just bought this medal, please identify, thank you.It has 171 grams and 10 cm diameter, looks like iron.

I did a quick search on gear manufacturing company or heavy machinery with initials G F but did not see anything ...

May be tough with no legends ...

Looks sort of like a water wheel to me?

Edit: Also could be an old clock-work system with the weight hanging from the axle?

That looks like a really close match!

The question is who would have made a medal like that? If it were a commemorative, we might expect a date range and not a single date (1484-1984 for example).

Maybe this was given out to customers or passers-by at a 1984 exposition?

I got a response from the Georg Fisher company, it has nothing to do with them.
