Need Help With A 1983 Penny (Doubled Die Obverse / DDO )? Date And Liberty

SilverDollar2017 Pillar of the Community United States 8715 Posts	Posted 11/08/2018 7:02 pm The date and LIBERTY have Machine Doubling (MD) also referred to as Strike Doubling. The devices are reduced in size, which is a marker for MD. Also, the doubling is shelflike. Machine Doubling is common and happens due to a mechanical issue with how the coin is struck.
