To me, looks more like a MAD. Is the reverse normal? Can you post a full image of the reverse?

I agree with MAD. That squiggly stuff on the obv doesn't look like struck-through to me as it doesn't seem as deep as what we usually see. This is much more subtle.

On the obverse it looks a bit like pencil marks on the fields. By the forehead it looks like a cartoon message cloud there. So you might look to see if that is surface writing?
