Can anyone tell me exactly what I should be looking for on this coin? I am having a lot of trouble even seeing it on PCGS Coinfacts. Thanks in advance.

I just looked at it in the PCGS CoinFacts app. If you go on the 1945 DDR Nickel in the app, and swipe left on the pictures, you will find a picture showing the doubling. The Monticello and Cents are doubled. Good luck!

CoinHunter27..I think you are referring to FS801, in which the doubling is pronounced. I just can't see it in FS803.

I can't seem to find the FS803. I'll keep a lookout.

It's a Class II/VI, so the doubling is on the outer letters. It has extra thickness perpendicular to the rim (towards the rim or towards the center).

1945-P-DDR-Fs803-030.3-Jefferson-War-Nickel....need-Explanation

Notice how much thicker the bottom of the letters are on FS-803 (left).
