 To CCF , try the magnet test , copper won't stick to a magnet but a copper plated steel cent would . Don't get your hopes up ,a genuine 1943 copper cent is extremely rare .  |

A simple question.
How much are they asking for it.
China makes these by the thousands and sells them for a couple
of dollars each.
A genuine copper 1943 can sell for upwards of $100,000.

For $20,000 I would want it authenticated.
Are you willing to take a chance on a raw coin?
Right now you are only taking the sellers word.

Statistically, there's virtually no chance it's real. Also, the tail of the 3 on this coin is more vertical than on a genuine 1943 cent.

My advice: do not buy. This offer is highly suspicious - too good to be true.

Can you tell us the source of where you want to buy this coin from and other details like do they accept returns, are they a reputable dealer etc.  |

As already said, simply ask the seller to have it authenticated by a TPGS like NGC or PCGS. If he will not, simply pass on that one.
