I have found a (2015 D shield penny) And I'm not sure what I'm looking at. Is it a error/defect,or was it purposely done? Report this Post to the Staff

Chase007 Pillar of the Community United States 7520 Posts	Posted 12/11/2018 3:38 pm first, to the Forum What you have is a defaced cent,it's been sanded down smooth and it was done while in circulation and it will be labeled as PSD. (Post Strike Damage.) And on the obverse you have the Zinc Core starting to expose do to the damage to the surface copper layer and it will just continue getting wort.
