C'mon, pieper - have you ever looked at the correct S mintmark on a silver War Nickel?

Try this: 372539077691

I like fioti's idea , go have it slabbed and authenticated . Not good to get postal about this Nickel. It's all educated responses that we are giving you . This coin forum does NOT give bad or knowingly wrong advice .

If you have a War Nickel you could try the tissue test?

coop, if the tissue test demonstrates that a coin is clad, can the same tissue then be used to wide away any tears?

To be a Silver nickel and have a mint mark on the reverse side, would require not only the wrong composition planchet, but a wrong reverse die as well.
