They hold up better when exposed to the elements than the golden dollars.

i just went scrolling back thru many pages on this thread looking for any post of mine that mentioned my hoping for "$345 by/before black friday". I know I've mentioned it at least a few times, just didn't know when I did... so I found one post from september, just prior to hurricane helene whizzing by here. I went looking for that post because tonight I achieved the $345-mark--- finally. anything I find from now 'til black friday is just a bonus. maybe spot gold will fall a speck farther, lowering 1/10 oz. gold eagle prices just a wee bit more. that'd be helpful. 2 weeks and 3 days to go.

not another storm! sheesh! Maybe it will float up a shipwreck and toss it to the beach for you to comb over.

the season that stubbornly refuses to end. it's supposed to meander in the western caribbean for a while, so my hope is that it'll sit there over the open waters for a few days and use up all the fuel-- the very warm ocean water-- and eventually fall apart... the extremely warm waters will then begin to 'cool', or at least become significantly less warm, robbing any other potential systems of the fuel needed to develop.. we'll just sit n wait n see, as usual.. annoying.. I can't install jeffrey's bamboo panel until I know we're not going to see anymore storms.

as of right now it doesn't look like we will be impacted next week by the storm in the caribbean. maybe the season is finally starting to wind down and I can bring this project to a close without a major weather event. pickins have been slim this month. gold has had a fairly sharp pullback lately, maybe that'll continue thru the end of the month, extending the buying opportunity.
