I hardly ever seem to pick up coins these days! Maybe it's a combination of people using cash less and those that still use cash being more careful with their money. This 2010 penny I found on the sidewalk in Hastings yesterday is the first coin I've picked up off the street in weeks!

Quote: I hardly ever seem to pick up coins these days ditto. how many nights this month have I picked more than $1 in coins? 1. how many nights this month have I picked more than fifty cents? 3. it has fallen off a cliff. time to wrap it up. Quote: Maybe it's a combination of people using cash less and those that still use cash being more careful with their money yes. this is the final cycle for me. it's no longer worth my time to do a nightly search. the nightly yields have been reduced to pennies, if that. it was great for a while, but now it's not even good. i'll let it go gracefully and move on to another project. I have to keep looking around for the next two weeks, but I'm not expecting to find much, if anything. I guess a pouch of benjamins is not going to materialize.

after 3am saturday, I'm sitting here looking at the calendar and mulling over what to turn this cycle's funds into and a thought just came to mind... let's say you, dear reader, found $345 and you knew instantly that you were going to spend that found money on gold/silver/platinum/palladium bullion/bullion coins; what would you get for yourself? I'm just curious what someone else would do. please, anyone feel free to share their thoughts.

With 345 $ in found money I think I'd go with a tenth ounce gold eagle with the balance in silver eagles (or in 90%).
It's been a fun ride Mr Pink but I understand your frustration. You gotta do what cha gotta do!

Quote: I'd go with a tenth ounce gold eagle with the balance in silver eagles (or in 90%) i lean that way, too. my thought lately is: a 1/10oz gold eagle (or other, depending; I'm open to other things depending on cost of AGE by black friday); an ounce of silver; and a gram of platinum i have other scenarios in mind, but that one seems most appealing.
