nice find, helder! it's been several weeks since I found my last dollar bill. we had rain last night just before I was to go out (typical), so my search was very limited, but I managed to scrape up a pair of quarters.

kitty karma strikes again. i was heading for the last kitty stop, rolling through a parking lot in front of a laundromat at 1:45am when I saw what looked like a ten dollar bill on the pavement directly in front of me... ...and it was! the last ten dollar FRN I found? december 16, 2023 great night for cash, lousy night for coins; I picked just seventeen cents... $10.17 on the night, though...

Quote: Some people have all the luck! ...and I tell you now that it was pure luck that I found it. first of all, I had already gone past that parking lot. I only went back around to it because the other nearby parking lots yielded nothing. if I would have found even just one quarter in the other lots I might've just kept going. secondly, I missed spotting that ten on my first pass. I saw it on my second pass. that was also the first time i'd ever found cash in that particular parking lot.

it has been quite a while since I last found any interesting stuff. tonight I found a 10oz. can of vienna sausage bites. can is undamaged and not expired: i do not eat them (yuck! ), but I know some kitties who'll tear it up. otherwise I found just twenty-five cents tonight, all roadrashed coins: a dime, two nickels and five nasty cents... miss dana at the hot dog stand paid me for tonight and tomorrow, but she says she's not going to do the hot dog stand tomorrow night, it's just too slow right now, not the hot dog crowd lately, I guess... so I'm paid for two nights but only had to work one. another xmas bonus!

for only the sixth time this month I found more than a dollar in change on my nightly ride, picking up $1.43, the bulk of which came as quarters: two from an ice machine coin return and three from a soda machine coin return. I'm tossing my found money into a mason jar now. i'll worry about how much is there when it's full.
