ask and you shall receive, I guess: last night I was walking my bike thru a laundromat parking lot and plucked a john adams Presidential dollar coin from the pavement (no pic). so now I'm wondering the same as Princetane is. (suddenly all these dollar coins, I scored those 2 SBAs the night before...) not only that, but I also scored two quarters from one of the two soda machines pic'd below, and each machine had a snickers candy bar- unopened & undamaged- sitting on the edge of the opening where the sodas are dispensed. cash and yummies on the same night. I can't remember the last time I had a free snickers.

Money and candy, wow! Meanwhile here is that dollar I was bragging about the other day. Another hard to see coin, but my finely tuned eyes and obsession over coins has made dollar detection a easier and more pleasurable task. The dollar was a 1st year 1990 and really worn, but damage free as it was on the edge of a footpath rather than roadway.

i scored a dollar bill in the wild a couple nights ago. i was preparing to pounce on it when furry critter showed up at my feet; I call her McCritter, she's usually the first kitty I feed nearby every night. I didn't see her when I rolled into the lot, but she clearly saw me. so I grabbed a pic before I grabbed the buck, then led kitty away for feeding. pic a little blurry, cat threw me off...

Very nice! Also good to have some "friends" out there on the hunt.

Scored a $1 bill outside of Walgreens today. Not only that, but about 3 weeks ago I stumbled upon a bank envelope in Walmart with $15 in it.

pouches of cash are always nice to find, been a long time since that happened for me. what happens more commonly for me is this: i found a dollar in the wild last night, it was hiding in the bush. see it? i found the dollar first thing, so the rest of the night was pickin coins off the pavement, an additional $2.82 in assorted change, for $3.82 on the night. the night before last I scored $3.74 in assorted change, plus an unopened, undamaged bottle of chardonnay someone left at an air-vac machine. finding cash AND spirits on the same night is extremely rare. chardonnay is okay, but I'm not really much of a drinker, so that bottle will last me a very long time.

While I never find as much as Mr. Pink (and haven't found any bottles of wine ever), it adds up. Today was 21 cents. With the 2 dimes, I was able to make a roll and this will be today's deposit. So from December (my last deposit) till today's deposit, I have found over $18.50 as I still have the jar with change, just not enough to make another roll.

yep, it adds up, sometimes fast, sometimes slow. i find so much so often only because I know where it'll be & that it'll be there every night, and it's very easy for me to go out every night to clean it up. a handful of street cats get fed every night, too. the not-cold temperatures year-round make it all very much easier. but I still puzzle over it. this was last night: dollar in the wild and lots of gleaming disks last night's total haul: $3.35, well above average. i found an easier way of unloading all the accumulated change, so it saves me from having to take rolls to the bank. thanks, covid! ....by the way, one of the quarters I found a few nights ago was yet another 2015-P nebraska homestead, this one ends up being a WDDR-073: not particularly valuable, but still a cool find.

The only money I've found in the last few days is this solitary 2015 British penny nestling in the snow. From the discoloration I think it had been there for some time! Mr Pink - I admire you for looking after the street cats. The only cats in my street are very well-fed, including my Pablo, who replaced the late lamented Felix...
