Walking back to my car last night in the rain I saw something shining on the ground - a 2011 10p!

Found a couple of 2014 pennies on the ground yesterday - a decent one and another with very severe road rash!

$2 is definitely too cheap, considering that the set has a face value of $2.91

Didn't snap a pic, but picked up a shiny new 2021 Washington quarter (which was also next to a penny) on the ground outside a CVS. Considering how few I have found this year, it made me chuckle I found one on the ground. Then I got one more in my change inside!

Found two 5p coins on the sidewalk yesterday in different locations along a 5-mile walk! The 1991 coin on the left is cupro-nickel whereas the 2015 on the right is nickel-clad steel.

I was out walking for some exercise when I came across some coins suspiciously arranged a few metres from each other on the concrete footpath a few blocks from home. I kicked at the nearest one and sure enough it didn't move - some joker had glued them to the path and was probably still laughing to himself about how many suckers would try in vain to pick up the treasure he had laid out for them. A brisk walk home, I grabbed a hammer and chisel and returned. There was nobody else around so I gave each coin a single whack and sure enough they came loose, with a chunk of concrete still attached. It was me doing the laughing as I walked back home, thinking of the look on the guy's face when he came out to find all his irremovable coins had disappeared.
