Its fall, growing season has stopped up in the Northeast. But I did find a garage sale and asked if they had any old money they wanted to sell. I was offered the below for $2, I offered them $4 as $2 was too inexpensive. I get home and check and 1 of $1 is 50% silver. Not bad for $4. The 1991 coin on the left is cupro-nickel whereas the 2015 on the right is nickel-clad steel. MachinMachinMan Pillar of the Community Australia 1985 Posts	Posted 11/13/2021 05:33 am I was out walking for some exercise when I came across some coins suspiciously arranged a few metres from each other on the concrete footpath a few blocks from home. I kicked at the nearest one and sure enough it didn't move - some joker had glued them to the path and was probably still laughing to himself about how many suckers would try in vain to pick up the treasure he had laid out for them. A brisk walk home, I grabbed a hammer and chisel and returned. There was nobody else around so I gave each coin a single whack and sure enough they came loose, with a chunk of concrete still attached. It was me doing the laughing as I walked back home, thinking of the look on the guy's face when he came out to find all his irremovable coins had disappeared. Report this Post to the Staff
