My better half recently brought a dime home and gave it to me with a purpose. It looked so nice, I was excited to think she had found our first 2019. It was a dime, but unfortunately, someone apparently opened a fresh roll of 2017-Ds! She thought it was 2019 because of the appearance, and I had the unenviable job of revealing the truth. On a lighter note, she got a very nice looking 1980-D SBA today (probably lower MS) and a 1991 quarter with damage that I could not explain right off, so it will take some researching. Quote: have we seen any nickels...? I hope that's the first 2019 we find, but the odds say it will be a dime again.

Quote: have we seen any nickels...? Not here, I'm still waiting for the 2017's to show up. 2016 is the latest I've seen so far.

Quote: Jeez Condor where do you live? Middle of nowhere. Quote: I can send you the 2017 and 2018's I could get them if I wanted them, I do go to shows or I could always buy them. It is just more interesting to see how long they take to finally trickle in in pocket change here. I don't get worked up over not being able to find them because I don't actively collect modern stuff.

I have gotten close to a dozen bright shiny new cents in the past few days, and the cashier's slot was full of them, at least three different places. Problem is, they were all 2018-D. I live about 60 miles from the Denver Mint and federal reserve. It's like they're dumping last year's stock locally first.

I'm still (inactively) searching for my first 2019. Quote: How many years does it go back? I can't say because I've only been around here for a little while. Each year has its own topic, so using the Search bar may help to locate the previous years' versions.
