Oh do I wish I could get my hands on a fresh box in January. The prices they go for is outrageous!

Ty88... me too... me too! I'm trying really hard to get a few boxes from PA... especially seeing that that seller is in PA.

$130 dollars for $25 worth of cents is a good deal for the seller. A few months and most people wold be able to pick them up at the bank for $25. But some people just HAVE to get the first ones and that's what makes flippers happy.

Even for the them the cent would cost more than a cent to make. The only way they could profit is selling $25 for $130.

Regarding Quote: U.S. Mint officials are keeping a tight lid on details surrounding the bureau's plans to create a numismatic rarity to be released into general circulation in 2019....Ryder did not elaborate further about the circulating coin, concerning the denomination, composition, mintage or how the "rarity" would be introduced into general circulation. This article on a rumor of intentional doubled dies (for educating mint employees, supposedly) reminded me of the snipe hunt discussion here. I wonder if it's intentional DDs. https://www.numismaticnews.net/arti...fa-nl-190125

I got excited a few days ago when I glanced at the condition of the coins I received in change. Alas, the cashier must have recently opened a couple BU rolls of 2018s. I have also recently received BU 2017s and 2016s in change.

@spruett001 -
In the last few weeks I've received almost nothing but 2017 Effigy Mounds quarters in change - all brilliant BU, fresh from bank rolls from different stores around town. It's like my local Fed did its own coin dump. I wonder what that means - if anything - for the 2019 coinage...
