Its the same here up north. Obviously there is some collector base, but seems never as much as the copper and silver stuff.
To be honest I think the Nickel/5C is the least favorite basically everywhere that has them. They're usually a pretty hard series to grade which does them no favors

I like the nickels, but they are pretty boring.
I agree about the 2 cent pieces. I have one, but only because of my fledgling US type set.

20c pieces. Most type collectors will buy the 1875-S. The entire set is uncompletable, so the other dates have virtually no demand.

I think I would add clad proof sets. You almost have to pay someone to take them.

Question: has this translated into falling prices or a glut in the market? There are many series are uncompletable. Including a very scarce series that I am currently pursuing but that hasn't translated into a glut or falling prices.

Quote:With the exception of War Nickels, nickles in general are very likely the least popular long running denomination @basebal21 - What about Buffalo nickels...? Seems to be several key dates, attractive design, strong demand, etc.

Seems to be several key dates, attractive design, strong demand, etc. I would certainly call that a popular series overall and certainly the most popular of the nickel series by a long shot. I should have named them instead of or with War Nickels as an exception to the nickels being unpopular

Agree on all obsolete coinage like 2¢ 3¢ 20¢.
