I found this 1965 quarter in my pocket change. It has a "P" on the nose on the Obverse side and a "P" in the eagles meck and wing on the Reverse side.
In addition, the eagles claws have thickening or spreading. One shows actual doubling amd the tail feathers longer than normal with an additional row below.
Wanted your opinions on this. Also wanted to know how to tell if this was coveted.

@CR, sorry but all that I see is normal wear and tear causing surface damage. That letter P on Washington's nose is most likely Pareidolia from a lucky hit.

I see a normal, heavily circulated coin. Value is 25 cents.

I personally keep all 1965 - 1969 quarters.
Why because the are old.
The 65 is the Model T of clad coins, being the first. Also no mint marks

I do think I will check and keep the best of the lot.
and there is a lot. and cash in the rough ones.

'P' mint marks came mater on. So it's not a mint mark. Just damage that altered the metal.

Thanks. The bright side is my neighbor wanted it regardless and offered me $5 in penny rolls for it. He likes anycoin that even apears to have a number or letter. To each his own right.
Thanks again!
