Thanks chafemasterj, they are fairly easy to find. My friend has become a Freemason in the past couple years and he is a much more mellow person since. I know little about this secret society, as it should be. It must be a good thing though. If I were younger, I would consider looking into it.

Wanted to share this particular Masonic counter stamp because I felt the detail for it's time is phenominal. . .

Nice haul Tropicalbats. It is truly amazing how many different Masonic counter stamps there are. It had to have been some rite of passage or something for a mason to do their own take on one. I have hundreds and if I stare at them long enough and flip through the pages I have found what I think are the same stamps on two coins a few years apart a couple of times. Edit: Any chance you could get a close up photo of the one in the first close-up picture second row down second LMC from the right? That one looks unique. I don't think I've seen that one before. It's a 1989.

Homework! I knew this lot would give me homework. I'll put up the coin in question tonight.

I just saw this thread & thought I would post the Masonic cent I have. When I looked where it was I couldn't find it. Instead I found this token. It probably came in a junk lot of some sort. It's about 35mm if I've done my conversion correctly.

A well worn example of a 1949 repousse counter stamped LWC. . .
