While at first sight it may appear that Punman's has "significantly" more hair detail, I beg to differ. Let's look specifically at the hairline just above the ear, the ear is beginning to "melt into" the hair on Punman's while mine still has a very clear separation between ear and hair. How much the hair-lines (and not hairlines, hehehe) jump out is rather due to my poor photo skills, notwithstanding the great help I've gotten through this forum!

Tough call. I'm at VF 35 sometimes and other times I'm at EF45.

I'd also say this is VF-30 I think the confusion comes from the strike quality. This was exquisitely struck for 1948 just look at all the solid details in the reverse, almost no weakness at the top left of the shield. Punman's is not struck nearly as well but has less wear.
