1941 D Lincoln Wheat Cent / LWC Cleaned ? And Maybe Die Crack ?

Reclaimed Valued Member United States 75 Posts	Posted 03/25/2019 10:35 pm Found this Wheat penny in change a couple weeks ago and got so excited until I really looked at it. So its obvious this coin has been circulated and looks way to new for its age. But I am new and trying to learn about all I can so wanted the experts advice. Also thought there was a scratch on the reverse so I put it under the magnifier and found it is cracked or split. So guess my questions are would this just be a damaged coin, die crack or something else ? Also would like to know your opinions if it has been cleaned and there is damage from that.Maybe valu if any. Thank you for the help. = ) Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 03/25/2019 10:50 pm I need an image somewhere between the two extremes for the reverse. I think it maybe a lamination or a struck through debris issue. But the images are too close and too far away. I need to see the lower half of the reverse to tell for sure.
