I mostly use plastic sandwich bags and paper rolls as the majority of my coins are circulated silver. I also have a couple of the plastic tubes for some AU coins I have.

My daughter came up with this idea. Until we have "books" to put all our coins in, we put them in old 35 mm film canisters with round pieces of felt between them. It works great!

I prefer 2 x 2's for coins I want to protect. While I have coin albums to include Dansco's I recognize that they will not protect the coins as well thus I never use them for long term storage. I use tubes for common date coins (usually pennies and half dollars) in au/bu condition. Should the value of these coins go up I will of course transfer them to 2 x 2's. For those of you using Dansco books for long term storage I would highly encourage you to keep them in ziploc bags as well as it will reduce the chance of coins being toned/damaged while in your books. Sincerely, John Leckrone
