These trials, proofs, essays are really only collectable because they have BOC on the note or in the De La Rue Canada 125 note a BOC security strip, this infer the bank mote companies had the BOC approval, some pf these were released through the big 2000 archive sales ok by BOC. The big difference between the RCM is they for no rhyme or reason just pick and choose who they go after, like the recent overstruck 1967 dollar due to RCM inactions they sell for crazy prices I guess to newbies who think they are RCM products. The BOC seems to overly protect their products anything with Bank of Canada on it or their security strips you are sure they were sanctioned before the bank note companies made design or actual notes.

Some good points "John100" + as you, "Regent" & others suggested in terms of how they reveal the history of a note's inception. Personally, I happen to really admire this series so was drawn to the uniqueness of this prototype. With note in hand I'm sure I could learn more about some of the note's design elements, security features and paper.

@john100 - Would you be so kind enough to provide any links to any photos or such of these things. I would like to make an inquiry to the Bank of Canada to see what they have to say.

Has there been anything written on this in the Canadian Paper Money Journal or any of the Numismatics publications?

If so would really appreciate if anyone can point to any information on these notes

I was trying to locate this but the link take me to a bunch of coin bags. Any help in locating these items on Heritage auction would be appreciated.
