These were P mint marked American Memorial Park quarters. Usually here in Louisiana we get Denver mint marked coins when the new coins reach the area. I opened jsut a few rolls and will provide data after I finish. All the coins are Memorial Park, P mint marked, except the occasional W mint marked coin. The Ws are are Lowell Park. THe date stamp on the box is early May, so the banks in my area look like they are about a month backlogged in their vaults. They are wrapped by Loomis. I have one other roll with a Lowell reverse showing, so chances are very high it is a W, based on the other rolls in this batch. All the Lowells are all W mint marked so far in my batch. Search on ebay reveals that the double ender W heads rolls are rare.

Good luck again and Congrats on the find.
I really wish they would date the boxes around me, but they don't. My box that I picked up yesterday was beat up and discolored, it was sitting around somewhere since last year, probably at the armored carrier. Same goes for you, the bank has to order coin from the carrier, and you get what you get. I think the date stamp is the armor carrier trying to maintain a FIFO for their inventory so they don't find boxes sitting around from 10 years ago collecting dust that got buried under new shipments, and not so much the bank doing it, Like a "packed on date" for them to go by otherwise all boxes look the same.
Still the best shot at brand new coin, but it's a miss sometimes also, but congrats on your hit. I think they packed that box in early May at the carrier, and the Lowell Ws were April 1st shipments from the mint, so you area is likely a month behind at the carrier to pack it, and then maybe another month for it to get to the banks, and that varies on how much circulated the carriers are takign back in to re-roll, and the banks have on hand from re-rolls, If you find that, then they have to use more change they they take in from customers and need to place change orders. Next month around this time might be good to check for AMP Ws at the same bank.
All my speculation of course, but my speculation has been working for me so far, and the more I figure out how the supply chain is working the easier it's becoming to find them. Good luck!

OK as promised, here are the details from this $500 box I just searched.
6/5/19 $500 Quarter box search results
Obtained intact unopened box from Regions Bank, Shreveport, LA on 6/4/19
Box is stamped May 4, 2019
Rolls are Loomis wrapped
The BU rolls are P mint marked 2019 American Memorial Park, except for the W mint marked coins
All W mint marked coins are Lowell (MA), not Memorial Park
Breakdown:
# rolls with no Ws: 13
# rolls with 1 W: 20
# rolls with 2 Ws: 8
# rolls with 3 Ws: 4
# rolls with 4 Ws: 2
Total Ws: 56
3 rolls left unopened (minimum 4 more Ws):
1 has Lowell reverse showing and based on above, should be W mint marked
1 has single W heads showing with Memorial Park tails on other side
1 has two W heads, one at each end ("double ender").
Total Ws in this box: 60 (minimum) or 1: 33.3 chance (based on 2000 coins in a $500 box).
For some reason, I got an incredible box!
I am in the market to trade for the other Ws as they come out. Keep searching!!
Now the job of re-rolling all these BU 2019 P coins and hauling to a different branch to dump them.

Very well done Mycrob! I've heard the Lowell W boxes out produced the AMP W boxes by a lot and they weren't exaggerating! 60 in a box is huge.
I've only found AMP Ws so far. First box just had 16. 2nd box had 32. I found 1 lightly circulated AMP W in a circulated roll. And found one AMP W from a couple new rolls I picked up last week. My total with much more work is 50 pieces. Lol.
Congrats man! Bet you're happy as heck!

Yes, quite happy, thanks!
My guess, however, is that the Lowell W quarters got out the gate a little late and so they had to mix them into the American Memorial Park quarters, as the Lowell Ps and Ds were already out. So I suspect the Lowell W rates in uncirculated boxes will be much higher than the other W mint marked quarters as those are released.
I think the 10-20 range would be more typical. A story I read today said about 1 in 200 2019 quarters would be W mint marked. So that would equate to 10 per 2019 uncirculated box of $500.

Yeah. My theory is that the April 1st shipment of AMP Ps and Ds they cranked out the Lowell Ws at a higher distribution rate to get them out there and done then went on with the AMP Ws from end of April and may at a lower rate per box.
Now we have June until Aug for the war in the Pacific and I think that will be a lower rate than AMP Ws since it's two whole months, then a lower rate for the 4th design since that's 3 months and finally the last design in November, something like AMP and With Ws disbursement in boxes.
I think they went heavy on the Lowell Ws per box just to get them out there and catch up also.
I'm also not sure why I never saw the Lowell Ws yet here. I think I really should have but they aren't turning up. Makes me think they didn't get into all the April 1st shipments either, like just half and them they switched to AMP Ws. That could explain the double or better find rate of lowells I've hear of people pulling out 2-3 rolls of Lowell Ws from 1 box.
I dunno. Thinking I got skipped for the Lowells Ws, but maybe they just got buried under newer stock and they haven't got to them yet.

I got two boxes in the past 3 weeks and found a total of eight 2019 quarters; all "P". I can't figure out how some of you get boxes with more 2019-W's than I can get 2018 and 2019's combined. I figured I would have to look through 50 boxes to find my first "W"

HI Atticguy, it's just lick really. Ordering a box and maybe getting a new one.
I've ordered 5 boxes in 5 weeks so far, 3 were circulated, 2 where 2019 P Amp quarters.
I think it's possible your bank may have older boxes in their branch vault they've been giving you. Once you run through those they will need to order new coin and get it in and it could be 2019 although still not a guarantee. Just gotta not get discouraged and keep looking and they will turn up for you eventually.
My belief is that searching a box is the best way to get them uncirculated and in quantity to be able to search then for the best examples. A few rolls here or there wasn't working for me although I have found 1 slightly circulated W and 1 uncirculated W from roll's doing it that way. Generally the banks will want to give you the customer wrapped rolls they take in from customers in case they are short coins and they don't have to verify it, just bounce the back out the door.
Don't give up. It will happen eventually.

Quote: I think it's possible your bank may have older boxes in their branch vault they've been giving you. Well B-K, you can scratch that possibility out. My branch doesn't have any boxes on reserve and have to order them on demand (from Loomis). It normally takes 4-8 days to get them and then they call me up to come and get-em. I think I've got another chance to go through one more box this month before I need the cash for bill/house payments. PS: I'd rather order and wait for a new (new-er) box than take what they've already got from customer returns. I never find ANYTHING of significance in them and always find about twenty Canadian quarters stashed in them.

I went to the bank and ordered a $500 box. It came sealed and with the same orange and white machine wrapped style rolls. I opened it up and was excited to see all new 2019 AMP quarters. After I opened about 7 rolls finding nothing I saw an old quarter, I checked a few more rolls and found some of the new quarters on the inside with the Coin Wrapping Machine marks. Someone had already gone through this box and dumped it back at the bank.

Also I looked at one particular seller on E-bay selling the w AMP quarters and they have sold 340 of them so far.
Kinda makes you wonder if that person is maybe a loomis employee and pulling them out. If you were to pull out at least 340 W quarters that would average out to be about 17 $500 boxes of new quarters.

Can someone help me. I know I'm missing it here somewhere but is there a listing of the mintage numbers of these W's?
