Quote: Nice coin, but I think they are winged horses, not deer. They do look like horses to me, but on Apr 16, someone on this thread said they were deer.

Quote: They do look like horses to me, but on Apr 16, someone on this thread said they were deer. The emblem is an image of shanyrak (Kazakh: more often seen in the Russian transcription, shanyrak), the upper dome-like portion of a yurt, against a sky blue background which irradiates (in the form of sun rays) uyks (supports) set off by wings of mythical horses, inspired by Tulpar which represent bravery.[2] The circle shape of the Emblem is a symbol of a life and eternity. The shanyrak symbolizes well-being of family, peace and calmness. References: https://www.revolvy.com/page/Emblem-of-Kazakhstan

Quote: They do look like horses to me, but on Apr 16, someone on this thread said they were deer I missed that one. Didn't check it until I saw your post. I don't think we are going to worry too much about it though. It's all about posting nice coins. :)

Quote: They do look like horses to me, but on Apr 16, someone on this thread said they were deer. I think that was me. I did research it a bit at the time, and somewhere I read that they were deer, so that made sense to me, but I suppose being as they are 'mythical' horses, that explains the huge horn coming out of their heads. Sorry folks, I promise I'll do better next time.
