I'll start it off with this trio as examples. First, n the left is a 1 leu from Romania, to the right a 1 koruna from Czechoslovakia. The classic French motif of a woman sowing would probably also qualify. Colligo ergo sum

This thread reminds me of the FAO coins issued around 1970s. Can be challenging to collect if you want to find them all. This is a link that I found online a while back. http://fao-coins.info/Some of my coins South Korea - featuring rice stalk Singapore - featuring some fish. I really like the wording "more food from the sea" - doesn't help when seafood is overfished... Japan 5 yen. This is one of my more favorite coin as it features rice stalk, a gear (agriculture industry) as well as water. There might be more - just can't remember what I got...

Quote: First, n the left is a 1 leu from Romania, to the right a 1 koruna from Czechoslovakia. @LuckyCuss, some version of wheat ears is almost ubiquitous on coins from the Iron Curtain countries of the 1960s. But I DO like that tractor on the Romania 1 Leu! Here is the Bulgarian equivalent with wheat (1 Lev 1962): And I'll counter your famous French version of the seed sower with this more macho Austrian one (1 Shilling 1952):

As I looked through my coin photos, I realized there are MANY coins that contain wheat ears as part of the design. Probably enough to have a thread just on this. But to continue with a coin where an agricultural motif is the entire design of one side, here are bananas on a Katanga 1 F coin of 1961 (an interesting coin for other reasons, too!)
