Quote: From Tombstone AZ, I'm going to take this thread all the way North and East to Dover-Foxcroft ME for the Whoopie Pie Festival. Each wooden nickel could be traded in for a sample of this official state treat for the State of Maine.
Quote: Here's one that I found in my yard last month. Uncle Sam Play Penny 1950.
I honestly don't recall how this came into my possession. But I did live in the Colorado Springs/Cripple Creek area a number of times from the mid 1970s through the early 1980s. I'm sure it has been in my possession for over 40 years. Could be as long as 50 years. It's about 38mm in diameter, the size of a large US Dollar coin.
Seven years and nobody has corrected the title's typo? LOL
