@hess, first welcome to CCf. Second, that ring-shaped scratch is damage, most likely from a rolling machine.

R you referring to the link about the proof reverse of 1968 s? I haven't yet but I'm definitely going to. Just checking to make sure that is the link you are referring to. Thank you so much for helping this newbie out!

Thank you for your input and thanks for posting that link I found it very helpful and educational and now I'm trying to study my coin to see if it's Possibly a RDV-002/ FS901 . Lol Again thanks so much from the new newbie for your help! Hess4

I sent some pics in at the link you provided and got confirmation that my 1970D dime is a reverse of the 1968 proof dime so thanks again for all your help! Tracy
