I'm usually a lurker here. I read a lot and have learned a tremendous amount from so many members. I thank you all.
With that said, too many have suggested it's "a throw back" "a spender" with so many coins. I'm no expert and keep my views to myself. With this coin I was wrong. With the poor pics I thought it was a struck through capped die.
OP was asked twice for an edge shot and once for the weight. He was also asked if the coin was thinner than normal. All questions to help determine what was going on with this coin.
There's blame all around here. I've seen so many threads that the "experts" tell the OP to spend a coin and I cringe. Last week was a mule die clash. Another (year's ago) was I believe a 77 silver Kennedy and most of the suggestions would have certainly greatly diminished the value of that coin.
Please in the future, lurk, unless you really know what's going on with the coin. If your opinion is speculation and not a fact let it be known. Don't be so quick to tell someone to pitch it.
Thank you all again for your knowledge and willingness to share it.
