Its is actually funny you said struck through a thread wrapping it..my wife said the same thing but we both couldnt under stand these other offset areas..if thats a good way to describe those area..i will be getting scales this week for a few other coins aswell will post results..with a pic of coin on scale..would be great to figure this one out

The object at the rim running through the T in LIBERTY is a crack and most likely a Retained Cud.
