Thanks coinhunter27. Unfortunately no DDO on label but discovery acknowledgment is sufficient for now. Coin hasn't made it to CherryPickers Guide Red Book or price guide yet so I'll be waiting for a while to get DDO on NGC label. Pretty sure anacs will so one of these maybe next

Discovery label is a big achievement especially for a major TPG like NGC. Big congrats! -CH27

Thanks again coinhunter27. Although this isn't in the books I figured give NGC a try and let's see what they have to say

After reading that ANA and NGC were getting together it was a easy decision. If NGC sent it back with just a grade I was going to crack it and send it off to anacs. Since they are working together I knew they would figure it out

It's a coin... the value is in your want, to collect or sell. You collect for the art or oddity .vs. the dollar. At some point you will have to choose

Thanks levelsofmadness. Thanks sirguardian. I don't think I'll be letting this one go anytime soon unless the price is right. I put one on ebay for a few days but took it down. Not ready to part ways just yet

Petespockets55 mentioned the reverse die may have been changed out. Would that make two different varieties of this doubled die?

If the reverse was changed out, this would not be a different variety but a different Stage (A, B, C, etc).
(ps. After looking at the V V listing, there is no die change out indicated even though this is a Late Die State coin.)

Thanks petespockets55. All have the die dent above the flag but I wasn't sure if I was missing something

You could send it in as a new die stage.

Thanks coinhunter27. I sent the coins to Dr Wiles separately over a few months so maybe that's why there's no mention of different die stages on vv. Or they are the same die stage but one has more circulation. That's my best guess

Thanks daves errors. Guess I'll be calling this American Memorial Park from now on since that's what's on the label

I have a few questions about this coin. Since there haven't been any early die states discovered so far could this have possibly been rehubbed after deterioration started making this a late die state only variety? I'm also having a hard time finding out what's the approximate value for something like this. Not sure what comparables to use or if there are any. I would like to sell but need help. Is auction the best option or ebay? What do you think I should sell it for on ebay if I go that route?
