More than one way to search for varieties. I roll hunt because it it a good time passer and not big on buying. It is a really nice RPM and an exceptional example of it. Did you buy this early in the week?

Seller must have dashed to the post office as soon as your address popped up. The confusion over the title must have been a factor in the lack of bidding.

Nice early die state. I picked on up at the end of November in NGC-64 (but a 64+ in my mind) at the Michigan State Numismatic Society Convention. I think mine is on a mid-die-state. I've sold many of these over the years (upwards of maybe 50 of them) and I've always thought this coin was too cheap. In the 1980s is was a solid $300 coin for any die state (they are all pretty nice)but the price on this variety plumited as low as $50 when Lindy Stone found nearly 100 of them in a bag, got them all certified and then starting selling them at $300 but when sales slowed he dropped the price to $200 and then $100. I sold the last of what he had to G. J. Lawson who sold them to me for $75 each. In spite of the fact they hit a low of about $50 at one point when the supply dried up they started moving back upward. Most I got from Lawson I sold for around $225.00 to $275 depending on grade. But the coin really has not yet recovered and it's been a good 25+ years since Stone destroyed the market for this variety. Had he just sold a few a year at $300 each he'd have been way ahead. He'd have gotten in the same dollars for fewer coins and probably still have some today. I've seen this also happen to the 1971 DDO#1 1c (that John Wells managed to destroy the market for (the coin falling from a lofty $5000 in MS65 to less than $1000 in less than a year after Wells sold nearly 100 of them on Heritage Auctions, Teletrade and other venues placing as many of two a week in these auctions. Same is true of the 1964 1c DDR#1 - was a solid $300 coin way back in the early 1980s but after CherryPickers Guide listed it one reader found a nice batch of them in Late Die State. Most of those sold for around $25 each as the market was flooded with them. I think they are doing much better now especially for nice sharp Early-Mid to Early die states now that folks realize that the $25 versions were really late die state and nothing compared to a sharp strike. Still, even these dragged the prices of the earlier die states way down. Today I sell them from between $75 to $100 for nice sharp EMDS coins.
