I did a Google search for '2018 D LSC double ear error'. The 3rd item in the list of results was this 'https://forums.collectors.com/discu...e-ear-lobe'. The guy found 45 of them going through "25 boxes of loomis 2018 D". This double ear error may be more common than original proposed.
CarlOmaha : Congrats on your find. I found a coupe in Dec.2018 and have been sitting on them. I just posted one on ebay lets see how much it sell's for If it sell's!
@Daves Errors Good luck on your auction! I would recommend spicing up you title a bit though so its easier to find. I bet BlueRidgeSilverHound will make a video on it if it sells for good money!
If I was you I would get it graded. It's a new discovery why keep it quite? That's like saying, for example, finding a newly discovered 1984 D doubled ear Lincoln Cent. " Just keep it quiet for now and try to look for more of these ". Get it slabbed.
AyoJustin: I have more and others have been found just trying to kick it of and see what it might sell for.If it sells for a ok price I'll send a couple in to get graded. No need to grade it if its not going to sell.
Thanks KooKoox10! If it wasn't for your video, I would not have known to be looking for this.
I obtained a box of 2018-D's on ebay and it came from San Mateo. We'll see. Nothing yet after 11 rolls.
I have been noticing that about every penny has a blemish on the top of Lincoln's head just like the blemish I displayed, above. I'm wondering what causes this on every coin.

It's "roller marks" from the Mint's coin-counting machine. I saw a slabbed quarter from the 1930s that looked exactly like that, labeled as "Uncirculated Details" and "Roller marks" (or something along those lines).
Irony Point: Today, for the first time in history, one of the local banks gave us some rolls of new coins. They are unable to get them, or even order them for us, but today, when my wife picked up six rolls of pennies, four of them were all BU coins, each and every one a 2018.
I was excited for a brief moment, until I noticed the lack of a "D" mint mark. Story of my life...
So now I am the proud owner of 200 BU 2018 pennies. C'est la vie.
